Summer Camp Information

  • Camps operate under the same time frame as school year hours, M-F from 9:00am-3:00pm.

  • Children bring their own morning snack, lunch and water bottle each day, along with clothing that is fit for all-weather nature exploration.

  • Early Bird pricing applies to families who sign up in early spring. Be sure to act fast, as our camp does fill up quickly!

  • Payment for camp is due at the time of registration.

  • There is not a part-time option for the camp season.

  • If a week of camp is full, you will have an option to join a waitlist for that week.

  • ALL campers are required to have a non-expired VA Health Form on file.

  • There will be certain days and weeks that will ask children to come with bathing suits and towels based on our water play schedule and area of study for the week. We highly recommend rash guards, and ask for children to wear closed toed shoes at all times (keens or crocs work well)

  • We ask that each family applies sunscreen and bug spray on their child upon arrival, and our Summer Camp Staff will reapply throughout the day.

  • We have rest time for all classrooms each day after lunch. Depending on age group, this will look like a traditional nap time, or a small rest followed by quiet reading, puzzles, and yoga time.

  • Form for sunscreen, bug spray and any other non-prescription topical cream can be found below.

Please note: Your registration for summer camp is not complete until the registration paperwork AND payment have been submitted. You will be invoiced through our registration and communication program, Procare. Once you accept the invitation to join us on Procare, you will be able to see and pay invoices, and get alerts, updates and pictures from each week of summer camp.

Epiphany Preschool Summer Camp 2025 Weekly Sessions

Week 1: June 16-June 18 **Holiday Week: Plants and Pollinators Week

We will kick off camp by celebrating National Pollinator Week, honoring “the vital role that pollinators play in our ecosystems, economies and agriculture.” Campers will spend time gardening, learning about plant cycles and all the ways pollinators help humans stay alive. We will also learn ways that we can help our local pollinator friends survive and thrive. We will read books, play games and sing songs about bees, butterflies, fruits and veggies. We will be using fresh produce the children have planted and grown in the garden to make snacks together and offer many opportunities throughout the week for dramatic play centered around food harvesting, preparation and serving. For more info, check out www.Pollinator.org

Week 2: June 23-June 27 : Out of this World! Outer Space Week

3-2-1, it’s time to blast off into some fun space exploration! Join us for a week of building and exploration as we create rocket ships, experiment with gravity and propulsion and learn about constellations and the solar system! Our campers will also learn about all the unique characteristics that make our home planet so special.

Week 3: June 30 -July 3 **Holiday Week: Camping Week

Pack your bags and join us for a week of forest fun, campfire stories, and outdoor games. We will go on scavenger hunts in the woods, and learn about native plants and local wildlife. Campers will also go on bug hunts, and use their skills to categorize, classify, tally and count birds observed around our campus.

Week 4: July 7-July 10 : All Together Now! Whole Body Learning Week

Join us as we explore nature using all of our whole body and all of our senses! We will actively explore the 4.5 acres on our campus and engage our observation skills to notice similarities and differences between types of leaves, the sounds of bird calls, the smell and taste of herbs in the garden and the texture of different surfaces we will climb and build with. Practicing these skills play a huge role in our nature-based approach at Epiphany, and the way we approach holistic learning and fostering the children’s connection with the earth.

Week 5: July 14-July 18: Music, Movement, and Imagination Week

Stretch, sway, shimmy and shine as we explore different types of music, dance, yoga and pretend play all week. Campers will get the opportunity to play different musical instruments, dress up in costumes and take to the stage, challenge their balance and climbing skills on obstacle courses and movement challenges, and create visual art while listening to different types of music.

Week 6: July 21-July 25: Go Green! Sustainability Week

Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle! We will practice creative ways to repurpose and reuse materials, and take care of our planet! We will use small and large loose parts to build, imagine and rethink the use of common materials. Campers will explore the old saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!

Week 7: July 28- August 1: Wacky Water Week

Time to cool off and make a splash! We will explore how water moves, experiment with sinking and floating, filling and dumping, and color mixing with water! Campers will also beat the heat by painting with colorful ice cubes, and we will make some homemade popsicles for a tasty treat!

Week 8: August 4- August 8: Investigation and Experimentation Week

Calling all curious minds! It is time to wonder, predict, experiment and observe as we look for signs of animals in nature, study plant life, and test cause and effect. Campers will use tools like magnifying glasses, binoculars, tape measures and shovels to collect data about their environment, and track what they see with photographs, mark making on clipboards and still life drawing and painting.
